There has been so much going on that I nearly missed it!!

I can't believe it - where does time go. It's been a roller coaster of stress, juggling, fatigue but more importantly, it's been full of laughs, conversations, fun and meeting old and new friends.

I just want to say a huge 'Thank You' to all of you who have supported my dream of trying to make a difference - supporting the planet, reducing both packaging and food waste, supporting both local and Irish businesses and enjoying a good cup of coffee!

Veg and salad boxes available again this week - just let me know if you'd like one before midday on Thursday for collection on Friday.

I'm regularly asked about stocking organic vegetables, so I'm delighted to tell you that starting this week, Replenish will be teaming up with An Feirmeoir Beag Glas, An Spidéal, to provide weekly veg boxes of locally, organically grown vegetables.

The picture shows an example of what the box will contain, with variations, as things come through.

If you would like to avail of this, please let me know by 6pm on Wednesdays for collection on Fridays. You can contact me on 091 555333. The cost is €30 and as there is limited availability it will be on a first come, first served basis.

Aonghus, from An Garraí Glas, arriving with this week's selection of plants including lettuce, rocket, kale, broad beans, oriental leaves and nasturtium. All plants are grown organically and are so incredibly healthy. Keep a watch over the next few weeks as more variety comes through.

This is a beautiful, creamy, raw, wildflower honey from An Dulra Binn in Roscahill - accompanied by a couple of bees from A Piece of Ireland from Moycullen. (I know they are not honey bees - but they are cute!)

I'm not a vinegar lover but apparently this stuff is exactly like what you get in a chippers but just can't replicate at home! (Glass bottles thankfully)

One of our lovely customers has just refilled her shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and laundry liquid, coming to a total cost of €77.10. If she was buying them in plastic, they would have cost her €97.80 saving her a total of €20.70!!

Much better in your pocket and also so much better for the environment!

Elderflower Cordial from An Feirmeoir Beag Glas in Spiddal, made from their own grown elderflower. As you can see - I'm trying, testing and tasting - someone has to do it! And yes - absolutely delicious. Perfect for a warm day!

A beautiful display created by Úna and Páraic from Crú Valley Nurseries, a local business, that always have the best advice, along with really good quality plants!

Simple things to change.

The toothbrush on the right is made from cornstarch. It and its packaging, are biodegradable.

The middle one is made from bamboo and it and its packaging, are biodegradable.

(It's also Irish!).

The one on the left is one of the 3.5 million plastic toothbrushes produced every year, the majority of which ends up in landfill and our oceans. Neither it, or its packaging, is biodegradable.

In its 14th year, this is a global movement whose primary purpose is to encourage everyone to be part of the solution to plastic pollution.

The idea of going completely plastic free is a little overwhelming and realistically very difficult to achieve, so start by changing one item per week by choosing to refill or buy plastic free.

Another Irish company trying to make a difference! Ecostraws are based in Limerick and are a sustainable, eco-friendly and guaranteed Irish business.

In Ireland we use approximately 1 million plastic straws every day, usually from the cheapest plastic and not suitable for recycling. Ecostraws are a fun, attractive alternative to help contribute towards your reduction of waste.

These gorgeous Grow It Yourself (GIY) books have just recently arrived. They are a beautifully produced and illustrated book, telling you all there is to know about growing and cooking food in a fun, family friendly way. It's usually €25 but it's at a special price of €20 here in Replenish.

Did you know that over 547,945 single use cups are thrown into the bin and sent to landfill EVERY DAY in Ireland?!! We really do love our coffee!

I pay extra for cups and lids that are compostable in your home compost bin but I know, unfortunately, most cups don't make it there.
